THE
SETTING:
Harvard University, considered by various official
institutions as the world’s leading university, holds an annual series of
conferences under the title
Science & Cooking Harvard dealing
with themes related to a variety of culinary and scientific concepts and which
include the participation of the world’s leading creative professionals and
chefs.
THE
CHALLENGE:
To create a business card design that appeals to a demanding
audience.
Digital Branding/Communication Goal:
To
design an innovative, pioneering business card.
How?
The
card must allow the user to digitally experience the different states of olive
oil, combining the physical and digital spheres. We recommend new technologies in the form of a Smartphone app as a
medium.
And the new business card is….an App!
This app will work as a business card for Carles Tejedor’s Harvard
conference and will be accompanied by an informative website of the same
characteristics.
CuldeSac will design a new conceptual presentation that will function as
a present to the user whilst providing functionality for subsequent occasions.
THE WORK:
The atmosphere and the development created for this
project, which we have called OilLab, takes us into the world of olive oil from
an innovative and creative perspective. An iPhone application created by
CuldeSac Branding in collaboration with the winner of the National Comic Award,
Paco Roca, Ximo Solano (El Poaig) and
Imagina Group, the application’s
developer. An informative web site explaining the whole creative process and
which will serve as support to the conference has been created.
Creative:
Once again, CuldeSac has added another twist to the request made by the
client, combining a business card with creative and digital innovation. To do
so, we undertook an empirical study into the different viscosities and states
of olive oil and applied the results to a digital environment in order to bring
the user into the world of olive oil and its qualities and to raise awareness
of the speaker and the various members the project.
The Process:
> Contextualization
> Oil viscosity Concept
> Project identity
> Application and Web
